Lions vs Eagles

I went to the Belluna Dome in Saitama Prefecture at the weekend to see a day game for the first time in ages ☺

In the top of the sixth inning, starting pitcher Sō Satō left the mound with runners on first and second. Masaya Kuroda, a fifth-year pitcher, who came on in this tight spot, got the cleanup hitters out in a double play to keep the score at zero. Then, in the bottom of the sixth, the Lions turned the game around with a three-run homer by Taiga Hirasawa.

As an aside, I also got to see Takumi Kuriyama, who has announced his retirement at the end of this season, bat as a pinch hitter.
